TEADEC web site is now being hosted on a new computer. Until the dust settles, so to speak, BBS needs to be closed down temporarily. We will ask the former subscribers of BBS to re-subscribe when it is operational again. Some links may not work during the next few weeks. Thank you for your patience.

Centre for High Performance Embedded Systems (CHiPES)
The Centre for High Performance Embedded Systems (CHiPES) is a research centre at the Nanyang Technological University (NTU) in Singapore. Founded in the School of Computer Engineering (SCE) in 1998, CHiPES is now an inter-school research centre, supported by SCE as well as the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE). CHiPES has a total strength of about 90 people, including academic and research staff, as well as post-graduate and under-graduate students.

CHiPES possesses the know-how and expertise to tackle embedded systems projects that need to meet differing constraints, such as real-time deadlines, memory and processing constraints, and time to market.
A strong understanding of processor architectures and the constraints inherent in the design of embedded systems allows CHiPES to derive the maximum benefit from different target platforms. Projects at CHiPES also aim to develop methodologies and frameworks that can be applied for the rapid development of embedded systems, resulting in shorter TTM and lower NRE.
CHiPES is a founding partner of the T-Engine Application Development Centre (TEADEC) in Singapore – the first such centre outside Japan. This document lists the T-Engine related projects undertaken at CHiPES and supported by TEADEC. The projects are a mix of research and development projects to be executed by research staff, graduate and under-graduate students.
